The challenge will be doing that without presenting speculation as fact.
The real case remains open.
No one has been convicted.
No definitive account of what happened inside the Ramsey home has been established in court.
And competing theories remain just that — theories.
Three decades after JonBenét’s death, her father is still publicly asking for answers.
Investigators are still reviewing the case.

But McCarthy’s comments suggest the drama may place its greatest emphasis somewhere else.
Not on telling audiences who committed the crime.
